Schematic Design for the Shoe Factory in Olney, IL

This project focuses on the rejuvenation of a small town community, specifically the reuse of Olney, Illinois’ historic international shoe factory and its contribution to the neighboring people. The design celebrates local culture and the arts, fosters community amongst all generations and socio-economic backgrounds, and lays the foundation for overall health through the adaptive reuse of a once economically supportive industrial building.
